DuraShutter offers a selection of standard and specialty shape shutters, French doors Sliding glass doors, arches and even bay windows with a truly customized look. Choose from a selection of operation systems including standard hinged panels, a bi-fold track system and a Bi-pass track system. Some shutters are made of MDF or LDF and then spray painted or layered-up with a plastic coating. DuraShutter is the worlds only “LAMINATE” shutter (like ‘laminate flooring). This better, time proven, higher quality technology has been used for many years within the laminate flooring industry. The patented Dura-louver (the most critical component) is not an MDF it is a sold core HDF (high density fireboard) ‘laminate’, the patented 4” Build-out, Corner Posts, Stiles, Rails, and Center Rails are MDF ‘laminate’. The frames are made of MDF and a ‘Wrap technology’ (not laminate and remaining components are made of MDF. DuraShutter’s sold core material is very insulative, thus heaver than pine or ‘hollow plastic shutters, so when a tall DuraShutter (over 80”) four (4) panel configuration is required when ever possible, a bi-fold or bi-pass tracking systems, are a nicer application (not a requirement they will creates a better operating system than hanging all that weight from a few hinges, because the weight 'relief' obtained when suspending the panels from a tracking system.
